IMAGINARY INTERVIEW

Q:  I've heard you sing, but I've read that you are a landscape designer. What's the deal???

A:  I'm a landscape designer and a jazz vocalist. My upcoming cd ‘The Garden Is My Stage’ combines the two in a joyous celebration of songs that take you into the wondrous realm of the garden!

Q:  Is it true you also sing in Spanish?

A:  As one of the Tres Divas, a group I co-founded with Lorraina Marro and Jackie Gibson, I indulged my passion for singing in Spanish (my native tongue). Spanish is a Romance language and the perfect vehicle for expressing sensuality and love.

Q: Some of the songs you sing have Spanish lyrics no one has ever heard before. Who translates for you?

A:  I do all my translations! I discovered that I had a knack for translating when Sandra Piller, a vocalist and friend, asked me to translate Ruth Roberts' (her mother in law) songs into Spanish. Since then, I've been  translating songs and coaching singers in Spanish pronunciation and phrasing.

Q:  Can you name some venues where you have performed?

A:   It has been my pleasure to perform concerts and to have appeared as a guest performer in some of the most popular stages and clubs of Los Angeles:  The World Stage, The Gardenia, Upstairs at Vitello’s, The Baked Potato, and Boardwalk 11 to name a few.

Thank you for visiting my site. I hope to see you at future concerts!
